When given the task to create a logo for the product, the first thing I thought of was how to make it simple, like an abstract logo, to make it recognizable. Then I remembered the bathroom signs on the doors to notify people that it was a certain gender’s bathroom, and I came up with the logo design that you see here. After creating the logo, I began to think about the color I wanted to make it. I wanted it to be memorable and still friendly, but not a common color like blue. So I asked my group mates about which color they would prefer, and we ended up with mint green. This is the final logo we agreed to use in our ad.

For this project , we had to design a logo for our Product. Our Product was the Friendly Friend Finder Phone app. When our teacher told us we had to create a logo, at first I had no idea what to do at first. After looking at some things online , I came across a Hand that was holding a phone and it really interested me. So I thought I would create something like it . I wanted it to be simple, and minimalist. I made the hand kind of cartoon-ish, and the phone it was holding , was basically the app , being used by the person.

For my magazine ad, this was probably a bit easier for me , considering the fact that I already knew what i wanted it to look like. Our website theme that I created has the green aesthetic feel to it. So , that gave me an advantage for what i wanted my magazines theme to look like. The cover image showed a picture of two old people sitting outside on a grass field . I like my design not only because it matched my aesthetic, but the people on the magazine ad also looked very peaceful. Overall, I liked how my add turned out and i wouldn't change it .
(Braden Pope) For my 30 second commercial, we used several techniques to speak to our target demographic: Baby Boomers. We used the ‘plain folks’ advertising technique when we had the old man playing ping pong, but the big catch of the commercial is that he is by himself, This lonely tone is reinforced with solemn piano music and boring medium shot types. Finally, we made sure to repeat the name of our product: The Friendly Friend Finder Phone App, because it is a mouthful to say and remember.
(Rameses Marquez) In my 30 second commercial for the Friendly Friend Finder Phone app, I choose to make mine more comedic but, still convey the message of our app. So our target demographic was Baby Boomers with a High Income. So we had our main actor try to act like an old man playing ping pong by himself because he had no one else to play with. The music I wanted to use was sort of sad however, I believe I lowered it too much in pre-production and completely didn’t realize there was no music once the video was already uploaded and exported. I made it look like our main actor was talking to an imaginary person because then that subject is able to introduce the app through a Voice Over.  I put the logo at the end with a blurred background so that the viewer had nothing else to focus on but, the company logo.

In my 30 second commercial spot for the Friendly Friend Finder phone app, I chose to make it comedic with straightforward, almost slapstick sort of humor.  With baby boomers being my targeted demographic, their type of humor is different from that of my generation, so I aimed the commercial to target their sense of humor.  As a group, we decided on the color of the logo because we thought it was easy on the eyes and would appeal nicely to the elderly. I thought that my voice over would not only appeal to my demographic’s sense of humor, but it would explain what the application offered in a forward and relatively frank manner so that it wouldn’t confuse anyone.  I put the logo at the end of my ad so that it would be the last thing that those watching it would see, and my reasoning behind this was that the last thing they would see would be what they would remember most. With regards to shot types, I used a variety of different close ups and a medium shot at the end. I thought the close ups would be the best way to tell the story in the most efficient manner.  The medium shot served to wrap up the commercial nicely and show what the app can make possible.
